Uninstall Snapchat, clear out any temporary files and reinstall the app again. Any file corruption, misconfiguration or issue with a setting or file can be overwritten with a new copy. Reinstall the app – This is the move of last resort but can fix all manner of Snapchat issues.
Either way, make sure iOS or Android is up to date. Switch on WiFi and let your phone detect any OS updates or you could go looking for one. Update your phone OS – This is a less common issue and usually it’s because a new version of Snapchat was released to address a change in the OS and you updated the app but not your operating system. Otherwise, select Snapchat and then Update. If there are some, the store app should tell you and allow you to update everything at once.
